What makes us different?

Three important components: Math, Chinese, Piano

    Singapore Math

    • Seeing enormous number of kids struggling with math at schools, Michelle brings her expertise in Math to our center and operates small math tutoring classes which limit the class size to 4 students to optimize students' learning experience. She uses a renowned math program, Singapore Math, to help the students to achieve mastery, not just learning for a test.

    Hands-on Equations

    • Seeing a lot of 6th and 7th graders being frustrated by the abstract concepts of Pre-algebra and Algebra, Michelle brings Hands-on Equations to our center. Using a hands-on method to help the students to see math and understand math.
    • Hands-On Equations is a visual and kinesthetic system developed for introducing students in grades 3 to 8 to essential algebraic concepts.

    Chinese

    • Nobody can deny the fact that the business has been globalized for years. Being a native Chinese (mandarin) speaker, Michelle sees the needs of our children to be able to communicate with the other one fifth of the world population. Mandarin Chinese is most spoken language with over 1030 million speakers. Michelle created a Chinese Fun! Program which integrates singing, movement, fun games, activities, Chinese character writing, conversation practice, and reading. Children will learn Chinese in a new fun way!

    Piano

    • Studying piano has been shown to amazingly improve memory — particularly verbal memory — and build good habits like focus and perseverance, diligence and creativity. Playing piano has been shown to increase spatial-temporal ability, which figures heavily in math, science and engineering. Most importantly, music makes our lives colorful!
