2015-16 Quarter 1 Class Description

**Annual registration fee: there is a non-refundable registration fee of  $35/child  per school year. (Due in Quarter 1.)

**5% discount for the 2nd child from the same family enrolled.

Singapore Math (Thursday)
2015-2016 school year
Quarter 1: Sept. 3 to December 17 (15 classes; No class on Nov. 26 due to Thanksgiving holiday.)

  • For ages 5-11
  • Class time: 4:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursdays. (60 minutes)
  • Quarter 1 Tuition: $225 (15 classes)
  • Integrates with Math-U-See manipulatives; We also use different kinds of manipulatives to teach subjects such as money, time, measurement, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percents …etc.
  • Good for kids with any kinds of learning styles.
  • Parents are responsible to purchase books before the class starts.
  • Small group (up to 6 kids);  Classes are delivered in English.

Singapore Math (Friday)
2015-2016 school year
Quarter 1: Sept. 4 to December 11 (13 classes.  No class on Oct. 16 due to LEAP day and Nov. 27 due to Thanksgiving break. No class on Dec. 18 due to Christmas piano recital.)

  • For ages 5-11
  • Class time: 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Fridays. (60 minutes)
  • Quarter 1 Tuition: $195  (13 classes)
  • Integrates with Math-U-See manipulatives; We also use different kinds of manipulatives to teach subjects such as money, time, measurement, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percents …etc.
  • Good for kids with any kinds of learning styles.

Learn Chinese (Mandarin) with us!    跟我们一起学中文!

Learn Pinyin and Simplified Chinese in our fun and creative Chinese classes! We sing songs, we dance, we talk in Mandarin, we read, we write, and we are crazy!

Chinese Fun! (B)
2015-2016 school year
Quarter 1: Sept. 3 to December 17 (15 classes; No class on Nov. 26 due to Thanksgiving holiday.)

  • For ages 6-9
  • Class time: 5:10pm to 6:10pm (60 minutes) on Thursdays.
  • Quarter 1 Tuition: $225 (15 classes)
  • Material fee: $30 (once a year)
  • This class is designed for kindergarteners and early elementary school students who are total beginners. This class will introduce students to the Chinese language and its culture.
  • This class is the continuation of Chinese Fun! (A) class. New students will also need to purchase two interactive CD-ROMs which will cost $45.
  • This class is designed to engage students through fun games, activities, and songs. Students learn this new language through games, singing and movement.
  • Students will learn to sing some Chinese children’s songs weekly, learn to recognize and write Chinese characters, and communicate in simple conversations in Mandarin.
  • We teach Hanyu pinyin (Chinese phonetic system) and Simplified Chinese that is used in China.
  • Parents are responsible to purchase books before the class starts.
  • Classes are delivered bilingually (in Chinese Mandarin & English).
  • Class size: up to 8

2015-2016 school year
Quarter 1: Sept. 1 to December 15 (16 classes)

  • For ages 7-10
  • Class time: 5:10pm to 6:10pm (60 minutes) on Tuesdays.
  • Quarter 1 Tuition: $240 (16 classes)
    Book fee: $45 (including 1 textbook, 2 workbooks, and 1 interactive CD-ROM).
    Material fee: $15 (once a year)
  • This class is designed for elementary school students has already had at least two years of Chinese learning experience and can read and write at least 100 Chinese characters. This class will introduce students to the Chinese language and its culture.
  • This class is designed to engage students through fun games, activities, and songs. Students learn this new language through games, singing and movement.
  • Students will learn to sing some Chinese children’s songs weekly, learn to recognize and write Chinese characters, and communicate in simple conversations in Mandarin.
  • We teach Hanyu pinyin (Chinese phonetic system) and Simplified Chinese that is used in China.
  • Parents are responsible to purchase books before the class starts.
  • Classes are delivered bilingually (in Chinese Mandarin & English).

  • For ages 9-11
  • Class time: 4:00pm to 5:50pm (110 minutes) on Wednesday.
  • Quarter 1 Tuition: $405  (15 classes)
  • Book fee: $55 (including 1 textbook, 1 workbook and 1 audio CD.)
    Material fee: $15 (once a year)
  • This class is designed for elementary school students who has already had at least three years of Chinese learning experience and can read and write at least 400 Chinese characters. This class will introduce students to the Chinese language and its culture.
  • This class is designed to engage students through fun games, activities, and songs. Students learn this new language through games, singing and movement.
  • Students will learn to sing some Chinese children’s songs, learn to read and write Chinese characters, and communicate in conversations in Mandarin.
  • We teach Hanyu pinyin (Chinese phonetic system) and Simplified Chinese that is used in China.
  • Parents are responsible to purchase books before the class starts.
  • Classes are delivered bilingually (in Chinese Mandarin & English).
  • Class size: up to 5
